Ian Matteson....The man who takes pictues

So Ian Matteson is a photographer. He's pretty good at what he does. I really enjoy any opportunity i get to take pictures with Ian cause he just knows how to GTS and make it look like I can ski. He is often found shooting with the SURFACE crew and others around Brighton and Park City. This kid should be getting paid to shoot photos cause he knows how to do it pretty well.

He just emailed me a picture he took of me earlier this season up at Park City pre broken bone. Nothing fancy but its still rad. Thanks Ian.

I also got the chance to shoot with him much earlier out in the streets with Ian Wade too. This is my all time favortie picture this season. Ian is the shit! Thanks man!

I FELL IN LOVE ONCE

And it was with my first road bike. This summer I was looking for a nice old 10 speed to mob around SLC. I got lucky and found the most amazing bike ever. A Centurion Super Le Mans. The bike was beautiful! Me and my dad took it apart, greased everything up, got some new tires and tubes and was off to the races. I fell in love with that bike!
This fall the Variety Pack Boys had a premier for GUNS OUT at the U. After the premier we all rolled to Sean Black's to party it up! When I went to leave I found my bike had been jacked! I don't think I've ever been so heartbroken. That bike served me well and will always be missed! I tried to replace it but my new bike just isn't the same. Don't get me wrong my new bike does the job, but there's just no replacing the good old Centurion.
Tonight i was looking around on the inter web and found the exact frame i had before just a different color. Its a thing of beauty!

One Handed

Yep...only using one hand kinda sucks...especially when its your dominant hand you can't use. Just getting dressed or brushing my teeth is a bitch. Try it some time. Its not fun. Be thankful for your two hands if you've got em.

Nollie Of DOOM

Well its official....i got broken off yesterday and snapped my collar bone. Well i was having a sweet day demoing skis up at basin. Everything was going good. After lunch me and Leo were mobbing around going mock 10. I decided to nollie off a little roller like I had been doing all day. This time was a little different. I caught my tip and flipped through the air. When i landed i landed square on my right shoulder. SNAP! I heard that bad boy snap as soon as i landed. Got down to the bottom, got a sling on it and went to the ER. Got some X-Rays and a confirmation on a broken clavicle.

I've never realized how important two hands are. Well i'm out for 4-6 weeks so expect way to many posts cause i now have nothing else to do besides sit on my ass.

More Vegas

This blog about Vegas has been so fragmented. This should be the last one...I hope.
So we rolled in to Vegas on Saturday night at about 9 or so....

Rolling in to the City Of Satan, Listening to that very song.

Before we even got that far into Vegas we saw a familiar Vegas site.

We rolled up to Luxor, or as we like to call it, the Luxurious, and got all checked in. Parked the truck and the trailers, and passed out. Its hard sitting in a car for 9 hours. It takes us a little longer when your hauling this bad boy.

Well we got up early and went over to the convention center to set up. 2 days of setting up. Oh how much fun that was!

After the second night of setting up we all went out to the Bayside Buffet in the Mandalay Bay to celebrate. ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS!!!! HELL YEAH! Was what we were all thinking, but it was definitely a bad idea. Leo ended up getting sick and was a zombie for the first two days of the show which kind of put a damper on his trip, and it carried over to Teddy for the second day of the show. However Mark, Coy, and myself all stayed strong...as best we could.

First day of the show kicked off with us not having Leo, Teddy and Coy kind of dragging, and Mark and myself ready to party like it was 1984. We started things off right at about 11 am Tuesday at the ROME SNOWBOARD booth. Lets just say those guys know how to party. Mark and I found our selves some extremely strong jungle juice drinks and plugged away all day. 11 am to 5 pm it was party hardy for us. However it took its toll. We ended up going back to the room to take a nap and prepare for the rest of the night but it turned into us passing out at 930.

Waking up and feeling somewhat refreshed we hit the show early. However we were now down both Leo and Teddy. Mark and I tried our best, and Coy was always off doing his own thing (Don't blame the guy for not wanting to hang with a bunch of under aged kids in Vegas). Mr. Mitch Shaum, aka The Shaum Bomb also rolled into town to party it up. This was the day of the Skullcandy/Snoop Dogg party at the Palms and everyone was trying to get their hands on some tickets. While chillin at the ROME booth one of the Skullcandy models offered Mark a deal. 4 Snoop tickets for his sunglasses. It was a hard decision but he made the deal. Those tickets weren't easy to find. Of course we couldn't get in to the show so Mark sold the tickets and made some $crilla. Once night rolled around and everyone with a valid id or a fake id rolled to Snoop.

Mark, Teddy, Leo, and myself were chillin in the Luxurious looking for stuff to do. Eventually Mark's sister in law who works for DNA called Mark so he could go to dinner with her. None of us had eaten and thankfully Shannon was nice enough to feed us. (THANKS SHANNON)
We got to go to the Cathouse in the Luxurious and eat. Since we had checked in we had been joking about going and now we were...sweet! To our surprise we also got to dine with two lovely ladies, the DNA angles, Paris and Brittney. Lucky us!
.
Here we all are after our fine night of dining

After dinner we walked around a little, got our hands on some yard margaritas, and went back to the room. That is were we found an out of this world Coy. He ended up not going to Snoop and partied way too hard back at the hotel instead. Just look at that kids face...priceless.

The zombie aka Alex Coy.

Now day three was the final day of the show and to say it was crazy might be the biggest understatement ever! Unfortunately the ROME booth's bar kind of got shut down so we decided it was time for the gas station and some 12 packs. We got those bad boys and started the party at about 2pm. The DNA Evolution Tour finals were at 4 and they had 7 or 8 kegs for the party. There wasn't a dull moment. Jeff from Never Eat Neon DJ ed that party and it was off the hook. Way way way way too much fun. Many a beer was consumed and lots of fun was had.

After that ended we all headed back to the hotel to clean up for the after party at the Rumjungle where Slightly Stoopid, and the 745's very own Codi Jordan were to play a show and party like 1984. Unfortunately we didn't get to stick around for the music, so we headed back to the hotel to figure out our night. Mark and I didn't want to stick in the room for too long so we headed out and walked around the casinos. Mark decided to go into one of the lounges were there was live music. I decided to go back to the hotel so i could meet up with our new friends Paris and Brittney so we split ways. Once i got back to the hotel we meet up and Leo and Teddy decided to join to. We went out and about with a bottle of champagne in hand and the mission of finding Mark. We found him right were i had left him but this time he had made some friends back at the lounge. Needless to say we were all hammed like a nail. Once the party at the Rumjungle had ended we meet up with some other peeps and kept the party rolling. Long story short we kept drinking and i saw the sun come up...GREAT SUCCESS.

Only problem with that was that we had to wake up at 930 to go break down the booth. So on 3 hours of sleep we did the damn thing. It was definitely not the best days of my life. We finally rolled out of Vegas on Saturday with a long drive ahead. Now we are all back and thankfully we are all alive. Now I don't think I'll be making my way back to that wretched city for a while.

PEACE!

HOME. FINALLY!!!!

I couldn't be happier right now! I'm finally home from the shit show that was Vegas for SIA with the boys. I'm way to exhausted to actually finish the Vegas Update so look out for it in a couple of days. I feel like i'm going to die right now so stay tuned.

Super Bowl Sunday is tomorrow too...Let's hope there is no drinking involved cause my liver just might explode if it hasn't already.

PEACE
THE CROW
